“We have no idea when God shows up, we just know she does. God doesn’t live in the head. She speaks a different language…When that rambling voice(s) in our heads can quiet down, then we find communion. We find grace. When we drop out of our heads into our hearts, grace appears.”

Spot on Jonas! God spoke to the prophet Elijah through a still small voice after a storm and earthquake, He spoke to Jonah through the belly of a fish, and to Moses through a burning bush. With such a creative God, why do we think He would need to resort to our levels to connect with us?

The main fact is that God and grace want our hearts, not our heads and thus the reason for the unconventional communications. After all, matters of the heart do not use the head as a sounding board:)

Looking forward to reading more from you Jonas, and may we be partners along our spiritual journeys. From one spiritual pilgrim to another, Shalom!
