Thanks for this post Nicole! I have had the horrible experience of seeing my work evaporate when I did not back it up and the word processing program gave up the ghost! Alternatively I have also had experiences similar to your father’s, and that made my heart sing Alleluia! But the importance of multiple backups of your work cannot be highlighted enough or underemphasised. So here is to more backups and the continuation of the writing experience through thick and thin!
